What are tonic herbs?

Tonic herbs are an elite class of herbs used by both Western and Chinese herbal medicine systems. The term “tonic” generally refers to food-based substances that are nutritionally dense and more potently nourish specific organs of the body than other herbs. Therefore, they are intended to be consumed regularly on and off for long periods of time to build up and protect these organs while accelerating biological human potential.

What are these powders?

The powders and capsules contain concentrated extract of tonic herbs. For example, our products are 30:1 concentration, which means 30 kg of the raw herb created 1 kilo of our extract, making it 30x more potent than a single extraction concoction. The extracts on utheon.com are dual extracts made using hot water and alcohol, and then tested at all stages to ensure they contain the beneficial compounds you’re looking for. High quality extraction ensures optimal potency, bioavailability, absorption, and digestion.

How does it taste? Is the taste pleasant?

The taste will vary depending on the product. Overall, though, it’s important to remember these are herbal extracts, so they will primarily taste like the herb themselves. In general, herbs like Reishi can be quite bitter, but other herbs like Chaga or Lion's Mane are extremely delicious. If you don’t particularly care for the taste, you can simply add the extract to coffee or a smoothie, which makes the taste much more subtle and sometimes unnoticeable. Overall though the vast majority of herbs I sell taste quite good.

How many servings in a typical 100g bag of extract?

If you consume 1/4 teaspoon a day, you would get 100 servings per bag. This makes the value and cost per serving per bag extremely attractive, with Cost Per Serving ranging around €0.50 cents per serving.

Are your products organic?

Yes - all of our products are grown organically, extracted purely, and secured in their respective packaging without the usage of any fillers.
